I've long been a BMW fan - E23 733i; E24 M6; E30 M3; E38 740iL; E39 M5 and 540i Dinan 5; and quite a few more... The E38 740iL stands out as an all time great sedan, and if it were in production today, likely high on my list... Recently I've been bitten b...  

with a A8 a few years ago. It is a wonderful car that is very well thought out. A month ago he had a new A8 as a loaner, the only thing I did not like about the car is most all controls are through the dash screen, I found it most confusing for the variou... 

I wonder where the disconnect is - the mar-comm people are great at creating a "feeling" but the service and after sales service people don't seem to get it. It seems so obvious to me...but what do I know? Cheers, TM

..i totally agree with you bout BMWs these days. Too much tech and too little driving 'feel'. However, of the fleet offered by BMW now, I think F10 still has it, and seems and feels like they learnt and it actually kinda gives me the feel like what the e3... 

Hi, Jacky, I agree with you, at some point it can't get any faster! "just think, and you are there!" what next? You are there before you even think about it? :-) Obviously the acceleration on the motorcycle is more exciting - open vs in closed space risk ... 

I have to say I am also very much drawn towards the lines of the A/S 8, but also find the BMW 5xx/M5 lines very appealing... So many nice cars, so little time...! Best Hans

and in profile, I like the new 5 and 7 series, but that straight cut front end...hmmm...give me an old E39 or even E34 anyday... ...

best sedan ever made. new BMW's are insanely watered down by comparison, and have 'no feeling' by comparison either.

And had mentioned similar feelings regarding the 7 series and newer S Class. He really loves his A8 (2011 model). I'll have to mention the S8 to him. Looking forward to your driving impressions on the S8! Regards, ED-209

I just could not wait--also was not sure I wanted to 'try' an Audi at that level--figured a normal A7 would be a good way to meet the brand. As things stand so far, love the car. Without question, the most stares per mile of any car I have ever owned. Not... 

...I think Audi has the hottest stable in the market. Even their station wagon is attractive. Before I got the dogs and needed an SUV, I was going to buy the A5 as my next car. In a few years, I may add a second car to my household, as a daily driver, so ... 

elegant safe and fun, greatly efficient. I love to use it especially on snowy passes. best. Luc

Perfectly agree with your sentiments regarding BMW's M and Mercedes-Benz's AMG divisions. AMG finally just got everything just right, but they're going to lose their personal engines again (I think the new 63 engine is heavily based off the normal turboch... 

And while there can be no comparison to an S8, it is my first Audi after all BMW's, Porsche, etc. The brand is making extraordinary changes and especially with incredible design, I think truly starting to lead. There will also be an S7, but I could not wa...
