The original Pirelli tires were terrible but fortunately tires never lasted over 20k km with the car and the raft of Dunlops later worked a treat. I did break one rim during a road trip in Serbia, though 😱
As you can see from. The other post mine was a black sedan, one of the rarer combinations (they only came in the yellow color you posted and black).
More modern tires have cured most of the understeer but the brakes are very marginal from today’s point of view. Otherwise a great car for a roadtrip, with good overtaking torque and the most comfortable seats (even after >250k miles) 👌🏻👍🏻

Yep. And you needed to manually
add oil to front suspension every 3000 or so kilometers - it had a very archaic design. And it did not have independent suspension on the back axle. And - this list can go on and on

I remember it took 25 seconds with the 240D
So the 220D took a bit longer LOL ... Oh, and there was also a base 200D ... probably 30 seconds.
