After falling off in snow and ice four times on my then Lambretta scooter, I needed four wheels so bought my first car for £25 in 1962, a Morris 8 from 1934. The car shown is from the internet, so only similar to mine. My car had the registration DL 9597. I changed all the leaf springs sourced from a scrap merchant. As an RAF cadet, I had a lot of fun in this modest antique car consuming more engine oil than petrol per mile! It was very good for driving in the UK snow of 1963. No longer around, it would be worth £5,000 today as a classic car.
