Many of you started out with very nice cars. My first car was a VW 1300 and trust me I was proud as a rooster when I drove it to school. Considering its age and milage it performed well. However the 6 volt battery was a draw back because I could not install a tape recorder. My second car was a Fiat 124 that was a cooler but the reliability was poor. My third was a SAAB 99 EMS and from there on my car standard was improved! Cheers Pelle

Yep. And you needed to manually
add oil to front suspension every 3000 or so kilometers - it had a very archaic design. And it did not have independent suspension on the back axle. And - this list can go on and on

.. the W123 220D and 240D we sometimes used back in the days took 2 lifetimes to reach 100
I remember it took 25 seconds with the 240D
So the 220D took a bit longer LOL ... Oh, and there was also a base 200D ... probably 30 seconds.
