MINI !
Hey Kari, a few remarks.
First of all i heard rumors there is a new Mini to come (well, that should be the third generation of the new Mini).
Now should you choose the A3 or the Mini ... though question. My wife had three Mini's .. a Cooper back in the early seventies, a New Mini Cooper in 2005 and a Mini Cooper Diesel in 2007 (second/current generation), they are truly great cars and really fun to drive ... untill you drive a Clio Renaultsport that is

.. .I had a 1996 Audi A3 and kept it for ten years, it has been by far the best car i ever owned, never a problem, no breakdowns whatsoever ... .
The Audi , and especially this third generation will be far more comfortable than the Mini ever can be ... but are you sure it will cost an extra 15 K ???? That seems an awfull lot as specced-up Mini's tend to cost a fortune ... .

2 doors for me, with some exceptions.
My fav car by far is the 911 (all of them), so we could say Coupe would be my choice most of the times. There are some 4 doors cars that I would not mind to own, like a Subaru STI, or a V10 M5 :) Cheers, Vte :)
