Porsche
One of the cars that would suit us the Porsche Panamera (especially that new wagon version). No need for turbo engine the GT has plenty of power. I drove one for couple of years and loved it. It was fun driving it by myself yet could load clients and luggage as well
The Macan is nice but too small
The Cayenne is well is .... bit boring
Mercedes
GLS would be perfect. Big plenty of room plenty of engine. Suitable for every occasion and location (bit like a Rolex you can wear scubadiving as well as to the casino)
If too much GLE is perfect
Personally I drive the S class extended wheelbase. Must say best car I ever had but not fit for all circumstances.
Big difference between Porsche and Mercedes is cost of maintenance. Porsche nearly 50% more expensive whilst the Panamera GT was significantly cheaper (mm let’s rephrase that into less expensive) then the S

No practical as you said, no real space. The Cayenne will likely not drive like you want it to, unlike the Macan.
I agree that's the best looking Panamera. Oddly to me it has flopped in the US. But does that really have more space (overall) than a Macan? Four full sized adults fit

The trunk space is smaller in the Macan, I’m pretty sure I looked up the capacity measurement after seeing the Sport Turismo.
