The Cayman GT4 was made for pleasure, when the 911 GT3 was made for lap times...
Two different objectives. The 911 GT3 has the PDK because it is designed to be a high horsepower competition vehicle for lap times. The Cayman GT4 has 100 horsepower less than the 911 GT3 and was designed for an emotional experience that is serious but non competitive driving. Hence the GT4 has the manual transmission for enjoyment.
I do hope they come out with a PDK version soon.
