Volkswagen Corrado G60.
Destined to replace the Sirocco in 1987 / 1988 ( from memory ), the Corrado was a very interesting car, with its Compressor, allowing a good 160 HP and enough torque to offer some funny sensations.
The big issue was the price, which was around 26/27 000 Euros at that time. Hence the idea to offer a few years after a 16 V engine, without compressor... But the fun was not there.
So they ended with THE VR6, which brought the car to another level.
I had the three of them. But the G60 was very dear to my heart. I prepared it to get some 190 HP, it was great fun!

We never really saw a lot of this model in the UK in any of the offered specs for some reason but it reminds of a time when driving could still be great fun and enjoyable. No speed cameras everywhere, no or very few unmarked police cars and the roads were...

I had a silver VR6. The car was fun. but somehow the pedalbox never fit me correctly. trade it in for a Golf VR6. just as fun.
