we finally agree on some points

The 404 and 504 are not far from the w123 but the w123 had however better engineering and a slightly better overall quality of construction.Sure the Facel Vega is not a Hispano Suiza, a Talbot  Lago, a Voisin, a Delahaye or a Delage. However it was much more refined, luxurious and powerful than the DS 21 Pallas Injection because it was hand made and hand assembled. The Facel Vega was available with the  chrysler 383ci developping 335hp @ 3200 rpm or 426ci maxwedge developping 390hp@4000rpm. No French engines could touch the American big block V8s whether it came to torque @ low end rpm or developped overall HP. I view French cars as entry level cars and even a german Polo is much more durable and reliable than its French Renault, Peugeot or Citroen counterpart.
Now back to the 300, it was also during its glory years from 1957 to 1961, when the car was designed by Virgil Exner and many consider that the Mopars from this era are the very best of the very best in terms of design and handling when it come to American cars. Nowadays any Chrylser 300 C, D, E, F, G starts at price tag of 90000$ to plus 150000$. The 1961 chrysler 300Galso featured the Astradome dash and four individual seats including two front swivel seats which made the entrance in the car easy.
