Long Power Reserves
You're right, the Blancpain tourbillons, with the exception of the Grande Date models, have 8 day power reserves. Because the large date takes a little more power, its power reserve is 7 days. But in answer to your other comment about long power reserve automatics, Blancpain has a other 8 day automatics. The L-evoution Automatic (which is a three handed watch with date and power reserve has an 8 day power reserve with its three barrel caliber 13R5 movement. Even more impressive is the L-evolution moon phase which has a complete calender moon phase and power reserve complications. It also has an 8 day power reserve with its 66R9 movement. No other complete calendar moon phase watch matches this 8 day power reserve. Both the 13R5 and 66R9 calibers feature a titanium balance wheel, free sprung balance with gold regulation screws. They are part of a group of 7 new in house movements that Blancpain has rolled out in less than 3 years. Jeff
