Breguet

Hi there, I’m doing some research on the Breguet Classique 3350/3357. What does the tourbillon number on the back mean? Using the example in the attached photo (taken from Ineichen’s Art of Breguet auction catalog), is it the 1191st tourbillon that Bregue...  

The 3350/3357 are model numbers; the numbers are mostly arbitrary to Breguet's own naming nomenclature. Does it really matter why BMW calls their car a 5-series? Why didn't they chose a name like 55 series or AA-series? Why does Audi call their car an "A6...

Thanks for your response. That makes sense. If the numbers are ascending but some are skipped, then at least you have an upper bound, that is, the 109th is at most the 109th produced, if not earlier.
