Breguet Classique Ultra Plate

As you can see my new to me Breguet Classique Ultra Plate 4605/3150BA has arrived super fast as I only completed the purchase yesterday morning I consider this to actually be quite a special Breguet for a few reasons. The first and most obvious is the fact that it is truly an Ultra Plate whilst most Breguet's of this time period are usually around 5.5mm thin this one is just a fraction over 2mm and the case is 33mm and it also comes on a an unbranded deployant that has French hallmarks which IMO either came from Cartier or is a close to a Cartier deployment as possible. The next thing that makes this watch quite unusual/special IMO is that it was delivered in October 1986 to Chaumet and comes in a Co branded box and of course with it being from 1986 it comes from the time when Daniel Roth was at Breguet. The last thing that sets this watch apart from some of the others and again IMO makes it special is the fact that it is powered by the famous Jaeger-LeCoultre manual wind Cal 839 Ultra thin movement that is signed Breguet. Being a Breguet Classique Ultra Plate watch it is a two handed time only watch and features a beautiful hand engraved guilloche dial, coin edge case and blued Breguet hands as well as a sapphire cabochon crown. Unfortunately the strap is way too big for me so I will need to order a custom Molequin Oxford Blue Saffiano strap for the deployant clasp which means I won't be able to wear it right now but just admire it.

What is a post without some pretty pictures so here are some.
