Well, I’ve had some time to digest the new Breguet Type XX and Type 20. Last Tuesday, I kept checking Instagram and every watch site you can imagine impatiently waiting to see the new release. Then, to my surprise, they didn’t release just one, but two pi...  

I could've made this post myself, I'm so baffled that brands are so misinformed about their clients. Who's a potential buyer of a Breguet Type XX/20 if not the enthusiast? And to make things even worse, they had it right with the "Only Watch". Is like the... 

But you need to maintain ‘existing’ customers and why take actions (i.e. risks) you know will alienate them??? They made a great decision to introduce two new releases. Once again, target one for existing enthusiasts and target the other for potential cus... 

I’m honoured for the shout out re the strap! I think you make really good points, not just about the date that everyone is complaining about, but also about the way the dial is balanced. Or, more correctly, not balanced. And the way the case fits on the w... 

Thanks to you, I learned both of these releases had this feature. That what makes this such a great site!🥂

It was a tough mission to disappoint the collector's world. They succeeded. I always wonder who's buying any Breguet from their current catalogue...

But I know a collector among us acquired one thanks to last weekend’s WristScan!😉 I’m happy for him that this new Type XX made his ‘heart tick’ and he pulled the trigger. We have a diverse group of collectors on this site and the last thing anyone should ... 

The watches look better in the videos I have seen of them. In the comments to the WatchAdvisor video the host, Alexander, says that they will release a version without the date. Personally I like a date on watches but the implementation here does not look... 

And to be clear, I don’t ‘hate’ what I saw. But after the two Only Watched and let’s not forget the two LE Type XXI 3815’s, I thought this would be the year. So, I will continue to wait it out! Cheers, Jon!🥂

Unfortunately, it appears mostly negative. But there are many ‘stealth fans’ staying quiet and saying to themselves, “I can actually acquire a piece!” I’m with you,Thomas, on the execution of the new Marines. I did see a NOS Marine 5817 that I’m seriously...  

Breguet is assuming that for every Purist client who is turned off by the sloppy design, there are a hundred other potential clients who are not overly critical. These potential clients will appreciate the heritage and accept that such a prestigious brand... 

I have to be careful. They may finally give the enthusiasts the Type XX/20 we want. But will it be LE and unobtainable . . .

And I am sick of CEOs ruining their catalog by being completely out of touch. Why can't there be more CEOs like Vigneron or Dufour?

As a result, the initial test flights appear to have experienced extreme turbulence over the last week!🥂

Hopefully they will make minor tweaks in the designs… another famous brand, starting with ‘R’, actually made changes to maxi case design, case size and even length of hour/minute hands after much negative feedback from the watch community. They may get it... 

This CEO and design team really have lost touch with their true fan base. A complete debacle in my opinion. Best Cholack

No one on this forum bought 🤣🙈 In all seriousness the watch is terrible, they should of put a moon phase somewhere in between these numerals and date, with Swiss made, and advertise it on Hodinkee, wait they already did it 🙄

I think Breguet is aware of the poor reception this has received. Their CEO has been making videos and giving interviews, which is probably damage control. WatchAdvisor states there will be a new model. youtu.be WatchAdvisor video youtu.be Breguet... 

What I find astonishing: -there is plenty of place for the date or the „swiss made“ or both at 6! -they did this before!!! It was nice, if you like a watch with a date (as e.g. me) … and they did it otherwise… 😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️

Yes very busy and the movement feels a touch small given how much space there is between registers and inner case dial side, but they work. The 42mm with the even larger numerals from maybe 2016 (feels much shorter) I actually quite like, Also lets not fo...  

I never like a date at position 4:30, but here it is really bad design! The 4 and the 5 are vertical. The number in the datewindow is angled downward left. The text "Swiss made" is angled downward right. Three angles of text/numbers in that cramped space....
