I finally got round to trying on the new Octo Finissimo yesterday and I have to say I was impressed. The one in the pictures below was the New York Boutique LE (15 examples). It’s hard to imagine just how the thin the watch is (40mm diameter, 5.15mm thick...  

Its GPHG win was well deserved, and this must be considered one of the best debuts from any brand over the last year. As you say, it cannot be appreciated in full unless one tries the watch firsthand. It looks, feels, and IS special. This is pure opinion,... 

And indeed, the feel in person greatly enhances the initial impressions from seeing pictures. I saw the other pieces (tourb, MR, skeleton etc.) but this one was the most impressive to me as it seemed to distill the essence of the watch. I have no idea of ... 

I've heard nothing but good about this watch and you are confirming that. This piece has blue instead of black, as well as the "5th" which differentiates it from the regular, I guess?

Blue hands, indices and “Fifth Avenue” on the Dial. One side of the case has 1 of 15 etched as well, and there’s a blue New York, Roma on the back crystal (which I’m not a huge fan of). I actually like the blue accents on this piece, and am somewhat tempt... 

I tried on Esharp's new titanium Finissimo and while it was too big for my wrists, saying it was very light was an understatement! It almost felt like a plastic watch! I agree with the blue accents. They break up the monotone grey of the titanium piece. D...

I didn't realize the markers are blue as well as the hands, what a nice look.

I liked the blue accents a lot on this piece.

How have your thoughts evolved on the piece over ownership?

... this Finissimo has not disappointed. Good ergonomics, easy to manually wind, comfortable. The only downside is that the timing can get erratic if it gets banged around. Range -10s to +10s per day, average 2 weeks +4s, On a winder +1s/day. Its a good w...

I would have preferred to see the same case shape but without those tiny lugs and a better integrated bracelet. The watch would have appeared “lighter” for me and more in harmony with the thinness of this timepiece. Best wishes Alkiro

I was prepared for a massive wearing piece but on the wrist it felt like (or maybe a bit smaller? Would have to do a side by side) my RO 15300. The standout first impression for me (apart from the thinness and weight...) was the comfort and suppleness of ...

Hi, Willski, I totally agree with you about the Octo Finissimo... But you don't have to pick on the Royal Oak...this one is c. 15 years old with nearly 1 million airline miles under its belt ... 😉 ...  

Instead of going the way its Supporters and Well Wishers were telling it they went the opposite way. If they buckled down on the R&D and continued experimenting maybe they would have come up with a cost effective way to put it in serial production. In my ... 

My run of the mill 15300 has definitely not flown close to 1m miles but is significantly the worse for wear... 😁🤔

..that "5th", come on, that's a cop out from a design perspective. Lazy and unimaginative.

The blue accents were great, but the Fifth Avenue and stamping on the back were so-so for me.

I’m not going to wear nice watches like this for swimming so 30m is fine, got other WR watches for that purpose. Rgds Raymond
