Thanks FX, I read with interest this entire beautiful and personal review...it's indeed a "new" line that Bulgari got so remarkably right, as you said both horologically and aesthetically!
The only doubt I had until after half of your writeup is how you could have made it back to Rome right now...mystery solved when you said it was August!

These "entry-level" versions are also in my view the most significant of the "Finissimo" offering. Here's the beautiful Titanium iteration that I had a chance to try on in Napoli last year, but probably yours is the neatest of the whole line!

What a great idea to do this session in Rome. The sandblasted Octo Finissimo, so the first series actually, be it in titanium or in steel is a very attractive and discreet model. George
Winding with delicacy
Good to know if i decide to acquire an OF. Let the rotor do the job, some of my watches i ignore manual winding to save wear for the stem.

The steel watch is actually covered in white gold, palladium, and rhodium to achieve that white and bright color. Very cool indeed! Which makes sense since chemically rhodium won’t stick well to steel, so intermediate layers have to be utilized.
