I agree with that, the Santos Galbée is the best entry level the company ever had
and this last version has so much improved in dial and case design.
Very comfortable and all round watch.
Very interesting report SJX, especially this one, your visit to Cartier Collection must have been
something like a kid in a candy store.
I have never seen is and only have seen some of the historic models at the travelling exhibitions around the world.
One day I hope to seeing the historique Tank Asymetrique.
Besides all the technical aspects that makes the ID one so special, I do like the looks and the styling of this watch very much.
Again it shows what a cool material titanium is, even in the Cartier collection.

The Cartier collection is only shown at exhibitions around the world
with the immediate one being in San Franciso and later in Prague. A selection is always on show in a private room on the upper floor of Rue de la Paix boutique. The items stored in Geneva are not for public display, but fortunately there are always shows ...
Heey I agree with you 100% here. THIS is the same watch I want.
For a Cartier, I want a Cartier case..but with a dense amount of Cartier's character infused into it. Again...it helps that this case is not copied too much, or any. Also..I like ETA for long term classic keep forever watches. Not always..but it helps.

Yes, I do of the dial and case
but not the movement as it was not practical to open the back at the time. I have close-ups of many other items from the Cartier Collection as well. Will post them soon. - SJX
This changes my perception of Cartier my good man
but then again my perception of Cartier as a base level jewellery brand watch "assembler" was wrong to begin with I guess. I stand humbled and corrected. We visit the boutique soon
