I remember that review,
In fact, after reading that I'd liked the watch so much I decided this could be one of the very few modern watches I would like to own. Then narrowed down on the more sporty steel bracelet one as I wanted to wear this kind of watch regularly, went over to a Cartier store to check it out and was super surprised to find the crown wasn't a screw in type.
A sporty watch without a screw in crown scared me away, as conditions in my country are exceedingly harsh, hot and humid so you often sweat heavily into the watch, and I'd much rather have a completely waterproof watch than one which is more the water resistant types.
Still wishing and waiting for Cartier to grant the Caliber De Cartier a screw in crown.

Hi Dave, Cartier does make pin buckles but they are not Calibre de Cartier specific, so they are slim and don't quite match the sporty case. The major aesthetic change was is the white XII numeral on the black dial. When it was launched the XII was black....

For me, any decent watch from reputable company with at least 30m water resistant rating will be good enough to handle your described condition. I'm in Bangkok myself so the condition here is very similar to yours. What I find to be a bigger issue in this...
