Yes usually but that’s worth trying in my opinion. I think that would be easier to see a watchmaker if you know one. I’m not sure you’ll have a demagnetiser in a boutique if they have no watchmaker on the spot

I thought it could be that but doesn’t magnetisation usually speed up a watch, not slow it down? Maybe worth a try though, can that just be done at the boutique?

It can slow down as you have described and it will be progressive. So if you notice over the next few weeks you are losing gradually more seconds/day, more than likely it will be the main spring.
I have the Drive de Cartier with a 1904 based caliber and I have to ajust that too, every few days. Must say that to me, it is not worth the trouble, to bring the watch back to the BTQ or dealer. GEO
