Clever tricks?

 

I agree with your comments on the movement versus case size. The 'clever trick' from Chopard, I believe, is the sloping 'arena' case back. It's as if our eyes are brought into the movement. I prefer this to a 'small' sapphire window and a large bezel giving a limited view to the smaller movement.


The other aspect to get right is the subdial positions on the dial and this looks to be about perfect for the 1963 Chrono.

But the proof will be when we see the cased up watch.
