Tim_M, Yes...I like the latest FB 1.4 with sapphire bridges; it's my favourite of the normal FB 1 series. They even chamfered and bevel polished the sapphire, which, is another level of finishing altogether. Crazy action for crazy prices, I guess at this ...

The aesthetic is something that I really liked from the very first time you guys posted it. The previous one didn’t appeal to me. But this one.. that mostly solid dial somehow works very well with the octagonal case. I’m not sure that I’d prefer this aest...

This piece is not something that you JUST acquire. I think the ones who will get it, REALLY GET IT. It’s going to be a fantastic ownership experience and I can’t say that I’m not kicking myself for retiring too early. Hahaha! Looking forward to “less” Bes... 

If I’m a little bit mixed about the dial design with this large “desert zone” (less is more but until which point?), all the other elements of this watch are pure joy. The movement is a feast for the eyes with an incredible finishing level and this harden... 

Chronometrie Ferdinand Berthoud is working on a couple of projects that they will not announce until "perfect". They really are "seeking perfection in an imperfect world", with eyes wide open that perfection is always one step beyond..... Regards, MTF

There I was...nail in hand. I could scratch the ordinary 316L steel plate. The hardened steel was scratch resistant. Next, the actual watch. Would they let me try to scratch it? In theory, the nail could not harm it having failed on the sample plate but i...

Definitely one to put on the grail list. May not be the conventional choice but that's partially the reason to like it. For me the hiding of the tourbillon is what I particularly appreciate - enjoy the stealth of it Thanks for the great summary!

...I think it's not as stealthy as we would like. The fancy power reserve spiral spring and guide lever give the game away... Regards, MTF ...
