My business trip to the south of France leaves me a day in the city of lights before going home.... I really love it here... Getting "lost" around the city with my tourist map that doesn't have the detail needed to really navigate every diagonal street corner with small signs on the buildings!!!!
I have been here a couple of times before, but never long enough and not with my wife
Last trip i did the guided tour of the Lourve which was amazing! No surprise there with all the historical pieces. My favorite was the winged victory...
Anyways this day was more of a commercial experience as I was on a mission to pick up a handbag for my wife for her birthday.
But first a little eating with my colleague... We ordered 1 home-made (what tasted like a deep fried) foot long sausage and roasted duck breast... With sides of super cheesy garlic mashed potatoes (aligot) and potato slices (Pommes de terre a l'ail?).... The sausage with mustard was amazing! And we were told after it was their most popular item. I ate both proteins; but could barely make a dent in the cheese sides (stopped through guilt)
Check this cheese out!!!
That night my colleague wanted to walk to the Eiffel, arc de triumph, and to the Lourve all in one night! And we did all by foot. We even walked up to the top of the arc de Triumph to get the great views and watch the traffic!

Can't do any shopping since all stores close at 7!!! Apparently the French like to enjoy their lives! And after seven is when everyone eats their dinner LOL!!!
Next day i toured the city solo; wanting to visit Goyard (small boutique brand only found in a few places in U.S.; but founded in France). in perhaps maybe picking up a handbag for the misses... Got the green one with calf leather on the inside (which makes it reversible). The one pictures just has the linen interior...as I wasn't allowed to take a picture of the reversible one...
I then wandered my way away around which appeared to be the Mecca of watch brands. The square was where the ritz carton hotel was (but it was closed for construction)... Amazing "plaza" so large in size that it was hard to capture in a picture.. Probably could have spent the whole day there if I had real money to spend!!!
I stopped into Panerai boutique (not in the main plaza) to check it out and looked at the new 1940 radiomir auto because of its unique dial arrangement for a 45mm Panerai. Here it is next to my 190.
Panerai 619 reference... My favorite dial arrangement of course minus the "automatic" text.
Purchased a green canvas strap there...
Stopped by the Lourve for a better picture
Frankly every where you walk you can take a picture with all the historical buildings. Here a couple of grab shots near some of the city's museums.

I ventured my way to a famous store for chefs in Paris for those that that want to buy their cookware...E. Dehillerin.... Lol apparently I know More about eating food than preparing it...No souvenirs here...
But almost bought a pate spreader made by this famous French metal ware company with small Eiffel insignia on the top of the blade where you thumb might go... I'm sure our French counterparts here our purists are aware of this company.
Went back near the Latin quarter for some night life and ate at a small restaurant right out side the Notre Dame...that a local Parisan took me to last year.
Salad with goat cheese pastry!!! Yummie!
Half bottle of wine paring... Perfect
Seafood duo with scallops and white fish
Fig compote with lavender ice cream.. Lol I think I ordered this last time!
If I could have squeezed a Greek gyro or crepe in my tummy I would have ate one LOL

Thanks for making it this far!
