Recently my Aquanaut 5167 was sent in for service, but before doing so I removed the back crystal to try to get some better macro pictures of the movement.
Notice the blue/violet hue on the Silinvar Spiromax balance spring.
Notice some bad scratches between the hole and the writing, it came like this from the factory when the watch was new.

On some of the anglage it almost looks like there are milling machine marks (horizontal marks) but I know that the anglage was done by hand. Does anyone have an explanation for this? [nt]

Yes, we've seen machine finishing marks on PP annual calendar movements as well in past discussions, iirc.
Pateks are finely machine finished at their lower and mid-levels.

The scratches on the plate is a bit surprising. Seems like the tweezers slipped and created a scratch more than once in that area! Again, great photos. Overall, very good movement finishing!

Just goes to show how good Patek Philippe finishing is. It's not perfect. But it's very good!
