5131 World Time as the holy grail.
My reaction to the 5131 is what can I do to get one ? I love my 5130 ( which I wear frequently ) and I only hope that Patek makes enough 5131s to partially satisfy what I assume will be an overwhelming demand. How hard can it be to get people who can paint a little map ? How about variations of the map ie only Europe or North America ? How about Platinum or white gold cases ? They actually make them now. How hard can it be to insert the new dial ?
I only hope that these watches will be distributed to persons who will wear them in good health and not to the grey market or those who would only lock them, new in the box, in a vault hoping to one day resell at a large profit.
I have been waiting for some time for a 5960 and it is concerning when I read on this web site that some grey market dealers have multiple pieces that they are speculating on. I know that I could have bought one on the grey market a long time ago, for a price which is less than I will end up paying this year to my AD thanks to all the Patek price increases. I have never bought a new watch on the grey market, and I would prefer not to in the future. My dealer has obtained for me almost everything else I want without to long a wait in most instances.
I am on my AD's list and I can only wait.

Hi, Speculators are around of course. There are still many real watch fans around and hopefully you'll get your babies. The thing is, if you buy a very much looked after watch from a grey market dealer, you give him reason! My take is to avoid to pay any ...
