Jaeger-LeCoultre

A brand new Jaeger Lecoultre: Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Celeste.

Well, rather than a totally new watch, I would say that it is an iteration of the Hybris Artistica Master Grande Tradition Celestial Tourbillon, issued in a limited edition of only 3 pieces, in 2014.

The Hybris Artistica Master Grande Tradition Celestial Tourbillon from 2014:

A watch I reviewed here:

www.watchprosite.com

With this new Master Grande Tradition Tourbillon Celeste, you have a slightly bigger case ( 43 mm versus 42 mm ), the new MGT case adopted by the Gyrotourbillon 5 and the MGT Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar, and a revisited dial, more sober, but with a twist...

The new MGT Case:

The cleaner dial:

With this special detail, the constellations are luminous! Which is a pretty good thing for a celestial watch.

In the darkness:

This is watch you'll see in the day... And in the night:

The movement is the same than the one of the MGT Celestial Tourbillon from the Hybris Artistica Collection, the Cal 946, which is manual winding, with a power reserve of 45 hours.

I will make the same comment than for the Hybris Artistica version, I am happy to see a manual winding movement, but I would have preferred to see more of this movement, rather than these big plates.

Made in white gold, it is a limited edition of 28 pieces.

The complications are the followings: An orbital flying tourbillon depicting the sidereal time, which means that it will make a full revolution around the dial in 23 hours, 56 minutes and 4 seconds, a Zodiacal Calendar, the months, a sky chart of the northern hemisphere, and the 24 hours indication.

I will come back to this watch in a deeper way, once I can see it in the reality.

Best,

Nicolas
