My moment of great excitement was being able to examine this amazing H. Moser & Cie Perpetual, seen here with a smaller sibling, the Mayu. Moser's watches are some of the best values in the industry, knowing Andreas Strehler's involvement in the design and development of this Perpetual Calendar, makes for a compelling piece. Plus it looks great!!!
A 7 Day power reserve and screwed gold chatons holding the jewels make for a lovely caliber.
Having had the enormous pleasure of handling a platinum version of this wonderful creation from JLC, the Duometre & Chronographe, I was thrilled to have this puppy to play with for a minute or two! The yellow gold execution is quite lovely, congrats to its new owner!
Now we're into my favourite arena, the Independent Watchmaking world. One of Peter's 1 in 20 creations in red gold with the two layered enamel dial. A stunning piece, unfortunately in my haste I forgot to photograph the killer SM2 caliber!!! Ooops...
Here with my "Old" Piccadilly....an original rose gold piece from 2004 with the sublime enamel dial.
Now pictured with an "Observatoire" from Motiers. Kari Voutilainen's simple yet classic and very elegant version of a time only, sporting an exquisite Chronometer quality Peseux 260, finished to Kari's exemplary fine level.
A great choice of guilloche for this dial. The white gold case and hands all tie in to make a wonderful piece of micro-mechanical wrist art.

Thanks to Larry for organising, we all left thinking, we must do this more often! In as much as it is about the watches, the people one meets with a similar passion, are allways fascinating and very enjoyable to spend time with.

Hi Jed, Yes, the Moser Perpetual is very much privately owned, actually I surmise as a sort of test piece/prototype, the owner has had it for a couple of years, although recently it apparently underwent a "refit", some issues were continuing with the move...

Thanks for sharing photos of your GTG! The Moser Perpetual almost seems mythical, and yet there it is! Congrats to the lucky owner. I had no idea anyone had been able to take delivery. It's one of the most, if not THE most, elegant perpetual out there IMO...
