A taste of IGOTT2: Cosmopolitan in 'Sin City'
Hello all!
Since IGOTT2 is only few months away ( home.watchprosite.com
), here's a taste of Las Vegas at the new Cosmopolitan resort and casino! Located next to the City Center complex and Belllagio, one of the features in this ultra luxury hotel is the amazing Chandelier centerpiece.
You can tell from the ambiance is that the Cosmo is geared towards the younger and hip/cool crowd and has a different vibe than other places. The music is loud and playing throughout the casino and walk ways. Lots of open lounge areas to have a drink and people watch. The ceilings are not as high as the Aria or Palazzo but still very comfortable.
What's cool is that there is a trendy bar located in the center of the Chandelier.
Lot of cool stores and restaurants at the Cosmo. Only in Vegas would you have a diamond studded ring in the shape of bullets......
Do you think this would look good while shooting my .45's?
For fine dining, there were a variety of burger bar and coffe shop, to French and Italian cuisine. Upstairs in the upper level was a Chinese and Mexican food stall. In the Chinese restaurant side, there was window featuring a chef making fresh handmade noodles. The outisde menu board listed some dimsum. Might have to try it the next time we are at Vegas. For the kids there's a play area with games and things to burn off some energy. There's even a pool table (looks like a quarter table) to play on!

if I can be there in May I most definitely will , it's been a LONG time since I payed a visit to 'Sin City'!
I keep seeing the commercials for this place...
...on TV and they are so weird. At first I didn't even know the commercials were for a new hotel -- there were bunnies, kittens, puppies, and lounge music; the first word that came to mind wasn't "hotel." Looks like a fun place though! Cheers, Daos

Hey Mr. Vegas, Great post... it's time for me to schedule a visit to Vegas, in the near future, prior to IGOTT 2, and check out the new theme condo/hotel Cosmopolitan. Didn't realize that it has a casino too, as I thought Aria was supposed to be the only ...

Ming- I want the low down on the really authentic Chinese restaurants
Not the tourist traps, but those real deals off the beaten path. Have any insight? Will be top on my list when the Snak train pulls into Vegas.
The top contender is....
KJ Kitchen or Joyful House for dinner and Chang's Hong Kong cuisine for dim sum. I heard PingPangPong at GC is a favorite of the Vegas locals. Do you like Thai? There's one of the most authentic Northern Thai restaurants in Vegas called Lotus of Siam. -MW...

Are you guys talking about places on the strip, or the strip mall locations? I remember an entire area way off the strip with mostly only Chinese language signage. Figured this would be where the locals who know go.

Where is this new hotel located? I think we'll have to consult you for all the fun places to go
