Hello Gents,
In the Chronoswiss thread there was discussion of the meaning of REGULATOR as applied to watches (and some discussion of the use of clocks to regulate watches).
OK fine. Just for the sake of a visual thrill, could we briefly define a regulator as a watch with the hour hand on an axis OTHER THAN the center point of the watch, and that its arbor or shaft is NOT sharing the same centerline as that of the minutes or seconds? Subject of course to all the variations of retrograde, digital, etc. Thus is a GG retro a regulator??
