Seiko

I hate to think about it this early but this year is a big year for me and with my birthday coming up I've thought of looking for something Vintage, I'm hoping to find a 1989 Grand Seiko, if I could find my birthday month it would be all the more sweeter but if not, no worries  

Does anyone have a suggestion for a nice GS of that year? Is it a good year for GS or should I go King Seiko or Seiko itself?

I have absolutely no idea what to look for as there isn't much information out there and I thought who else but the Seiko forum experts could help. 

Reasons for choosing a GS:

1. Always reliable and wonderful to behold

2. Gives the Swiss a run for their money  

3. Love that you can get the year and month down for most pieces in GS/Seiko.
