Was just strolling through a shopping mall today and normally would not have stopped by this watch shop which mainly sell fashion brands. However, just out of curiosity I decided to have a quick look at the show window to see what some of the unknown brands are doing. I noticed a black cased watch with beige dial and blue hands which I quite like the look of, having no idea what make it was.So I went in to ask to see it.I examined it closely and felt the black steel case was well made and it had an open back with a view of the movement, which was nothing to boast about but adequate, I suppose. The size and feel of the crown felt right and the winding action felt good for a manual wind.I knew this wasn't a high end watch and price wasn't going to be an issue. Somehow, I liked it for what it is, without influence from advertising or branding and on hearing the price, there wasn't much to consider.Getting a new watch always gives me a buzz irrespective of the cost and it was worth it just for that.
So here it is: Russion made(Moscow Classic diver),Molnija movement,44mm,manual wind, black steel case& buckle, hands w. lume. Not much else except I like it and would be proud to wear it with my others on rotation.Oh, and the best part was it cost less than a dinner for 2 in a classy restaurant.(or a good leather watch strap).I changed the black leather strap that came with it, as it was too long to something that fitted but will look for a better strap in due course.
The pics:
The actual beige dial looks vintage and goes well with the blue indices and hands. Also like the red on the seconds hand.
Thank you for looking even though this watch may not be to the standard that you are accustomed to.
Cheers
