Condensation on the crystal and thoughts from the experts?
Recently a dilema came up and there are a ton of opinions on this matter, I thought, why not post a topic and ask the opinion of the watch gurus on the forum. Since my watch just came back from service I explored all possible options online.
Here is my issue and in short, after taking a quick dip in the pool (without my vintage JLC Galaxy watch) I took a shower and dried off, I believe this wasn't enough of a drying off period as when I put my watch on and finished dinner I noticed slight condensation on the crystal, possibly due to humidity of my wrist ? (It appeared more like headlight crazing rather than traditional fog or dew drops)
being a snapback I took it off and cleaned the crystal, after arriving home I put it in an air tight ziploc box with rice, the movement having been removed from the case and placed on a soft towel centered in the rice.
My question is, will this be enough to prevent any corrosion to the movement, and should I keep it there for a week, two or longer?
What is the standard solution to this very common problem if this isn't the proper step to take?
Should it be held in room temperature?
Thank you all for any advice on this matter. If this isn't the proper forum section would someone be able to direct me to the proper section.
