I have a watchmaker who told me once about a vintage watch of mine to not even wash my hands with it on the wrist.
And it is a vintage diving watch!
Keep the movement and the other parts of your watch in a dry environment, such as the one you put them one, for a whole week, then re assemble them.
Damn sad adventure!

However, from the look of that winding stem I would say your moisture is coming in through there too.
Thats the achilles heal of the 195 case it seems, and the shot was after service too, not sure if a gasket would fit to the caseback.
Sadly, all the 195 cases seem to have this little hick up in the design and it is the only type that goes with the 818 movement for the JLC Galaxy. I'll be extra careful with the piece and vigilant from now on. I'll try and see a watch maker here in town,...

Some sound advice and after the Galaxy is back together will keep to a stricter avoidance of water or humidity I never had a mistress but this watch feels like one lol A Damn sad adventure indeed
