Girard Perregaux

GP doing well in Germany and Europe...

G'day,

just a few notes from a short conversation today; pre-christmas times do not allow for more than a rough overview, but some details might be interesting.
Apparently the brand and the watches enjoy quite an increased interest, particularly the BMW Oracle Racing collection and the WW.TC model range. Unlike with Ferrari, this is much more going back to end customers and actually the interest of customers spans over the whole range of GP?s portfolio.
Some details:

  • Laureato:
The Laureato EVO3, introduced in 2003, had a slow start in 2004. But this year, things are completely different.
Particularly the Titanium models are pretty sought after, with order exceeding allocated pieces (no wonder, as i find the TI dial to be very attractive). The steel/black dial/bracelet variant is enjoying a great interest too, as are - surprise - all solid gold models, which are nearing "sold out" status!

  • BMW Oracle Racing
The "USA-71" (Sea Hawk II) turned out to be pretty successfull and in the interest of enthusiasts. The "USA-76" (WWTC), which is not much communicated in Central Europe so far, already got some vivid interest.
Allocated units of the "Challenger" Flying Tourbillon Sea Hawk Pro are mostly sold; future owners will receive their watches soon and enjoy some special and very low numbers!

  • WWTC
The WWTC is the most successfull single model in GP?s portfolio for some years now and this year is no exception.
Mostly sought after (and sold) are solid gold models and in particular the RG variant. The "Power Reserve" found a lot of fans too!
A particularly interesting model is the "Berlin" limited edition, which is nearing "sold out" status too, with only few units to remain!

  • Vintage45 range
The Vintage45 is a genuine GP classic since a decade ago and always in the center of the interest. Particularly both large case chronographs models are en vogue, as is the Kingsize steel model with applied numerals.

  • Haute Horlogerie
The demand again exceeds the allocated number of units, thus the wait list is up a little time. This refers particularly to variants of the round "classic" case and Vintage45 case Three Gold Bridges tourbillons, which are especially made for the german market and a bit different from the regular ones.
The "Tourbillon Magistral" did find a number of fans either and orders by far exceed the expectations!

I find this quite encouraging!

Greetings from germany,

Peter
