Mad Cow Disease Austrian style

Going from aquatic pigs to bovine products that may have scared the living daylights out of people a while ago wink

While the first dish is not an Austrian staple (it is mine, though), the second and third definitely are. So, here we go!

A beef tartare for starters. Of a do it yourself variety, which is definitely a plus, since it makes it easier to make accomodations for my tomato allergy smile

Followed by the oh so tasty main - battered and deep fried beef brains - mad cow disease inducing but truly delicious. Not something I ever managed to persuade my Anglosaxon friends to try wink With a nice potato salad and a nicely crisp GrĂ¼ner Veltliner smile

And a no less typical dessert - a Kaiserschmarn with a plum compote (or whatever the correct English translation would be). And the only beef free dish of the evening wink

Bon appetit! And if I start appearing weird in the coming days, you know where it's coming from wink
