Midweek - Some Explorer days ahead.. The case of two marvels..
Friends, several of you know, that Rolex lately has become
a sort of "second leg" for my humble collecting efforts,
which still are quite focused on JLC, with emphasis on the Memovox series..
Having said so, and when browsing through some of my watch boxes,
it becomes obvious that despite owning some really nice, modern Rollies
( Millgauss, GMT II "Bruiser/Batman", Yachtmaster etc), over the last years
there has been also the creation of a nice stable of Rolex vintages.
Next to some Subs, some GMTs, the Rolex Explorer type always has had
a special place in my heart. - These are clean, pure and low-key, but
not without charm, just the contrary, attractive in their low-key DNA.
So here I just wanted to quickly share some few pics of 2 Explorer Classics,
one Vintage Explo I and one Explo 1655, Orange Hand, which I have now
selected for giving them some fresh air.
Thus, without further ado, here this little image series, of a Rolex family,
which I consider very attractive:

Left: Explo 1655 (2-72), Rt: 6610 gilt (2-56)

An attractive pair: different but both with cool charm

Explorer I gilt, rivited bracelet

Explorer II Ref 1655 Orange Hand, (aka Freccione): nice patination of characteristic indices

Almost a bit "un-Rolex" but quite special face; comfy & great on the wrist

6610: Iconic gilt

1655: Low key but strong appeal & DNA
Hope you also liked them a bit,
Cheers to all !
