MOT Technical inspection.
In Belgium we have an annual technical inspection of any car older than 4 years or even new cars when you register it as a van (like my 120d and Clio RS).
The car gets a full inspection for safety and other very important issues.
So a couple of months ago i took the 1M to MOT knowing it was in a 100 % perfect condition with only 15.000 km on the clock.
Offcourse a car like this in Belgium where you are supposed to drive a 1200 cc in order not to be a rich capitalist or anti-social hooligan you draw a lot of attention.
Okay, our roads are filled with Mercs, Beemers, Audis and Volkswagens, all being company cars and the majority equipped with a 1.6 or 2 liter diesel. But these cars all seem so blunt and uninspiring, also since the lease companies want you to drive a grey or a black one.
So upon arrival i already saw one person (not on this pic, all the guys in this pic where friendly) who HAD to find something in order to get a 'NOT PASS' on this car.
He did ... the front license plate was according to the strict law not conform as it didn't have the 'B' on it and wasn't screwed into the bumper .... .

This didn't stop me from enjoying the rest of the day visiting another car friend on my way home.
Did i solve the problem with the numberplate ?
Offcourse, i returned a couple of months later with the new plate 'screwed' on ... kind off ;-)
