My experience with a Lange 1 MP

sorry am new to the site - posted this first in the wrong place !

I recently bought a Lange 1 Moonphase in yellow-Gold - my first foray into the world of serious watches.

I think it is absolutely beautiful and I have no regrets, but I would make the following observations:

1) It gains 20secs per day which is poor for a modern high-end mechanical watch. So much so, its just been sent back to Lange for regulation - the dealer tells me the fact it is consistently 20secc per day means it just needs regulating and is no reflection on the quality of the watch. Makes sense, but would welcome other peoples views.

2)I travel long-haul a lot, and when I move the watch back or forward 8 or 9 hours, the moonphase moves with it which is obviously not correct. There should be an option to allow you to move the time independantly of the moonphase as the moonphase is the same wherever you are in the world.

3) When setting the moonphase it does not have a 'new moon' or 'full moon' reset setting, you just have to guess. Not a big deal, but I think it should also have a setting to take you to reset in one go.

4) Even with my glasses on I sometimes find the moonphase hard to read - it could be slightly bigger/clearer. I think it should also have moon-days on the moonphase dial.

Comments / opinion welcome
