Nautilus bracelet clasp - hard to remove

One side of my new 5711 bracelet clasp (the 12 o'clock side) is extremely hard to remove. I have to literally hold down the end tight and pull very hard for the clasp to come out. I do this as gently as I can to reduce as much stress on the bracelet as possible. But it's still a very hard pull indeed. The 6 o'clock side (with the fold over safety clasp) is a lot easier to remove, but still secure.

I am concerned that all this pulling to remove the clasp (on the 12 o'clock side) will put undue stress on the last link bar that connects the last link to the clasp.

Anybody here has similar experience? Any issues to the bracelet by having to pull on it so hard? Will it get less hard to remove over time?

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
