The criteria was that it had to be something -
- that could be equally worn casually with sportswear or with a suit
- timeless
- as under the radar as possible (in my mind that means, white metal vs. YG or RG)
- could withstand my fickleness - there is not one watch that I have traded or sold that I don't regret parting with
While I like the new version with fluted bezel, I wanted to minimize the "action" of reflected light.
I did vacillate greatly between this one and the baguette markers which I love, albeit not being a bling guy.
Time will tell if I was right!

Agree somewhat, many folks who aren't familiar with watches assume all DD's must have fluted bezels.
As for those knowledgeable bad guys we have to BOLO look for, my friends S&W have something to say to them

I love mine (with baguettes) so much and yours had a very short production run with this dial, the blue second hands and the smooth bezel. To me a perfect watch.
