Omega Pocketwatch - info requested
I bought my first pocket watch and my knowledge of these is =0
It is unfortunately one of them you do not just open with fingernail, so I can not get my watchmaker to open it until next week, what my patience does not extend to.
It is 49 mm w / crown and there are a chain. It is in good condition.
I have googlet Omega watches without finding one just like it and looked in the big book without finding one with the same dial layout.
All basic info is welcome.
Best. Thomas

...as some cases of this type have screw-on backs rather than snap-off ones. If so, then you may damage the case by trying to open it with your fingernail. Not to mention the damage to your fingernail. Let a watchmaker do the job properly, gatorcpa

The black and white dial is particularly attractive, and the condition looks very good. As you have said, it is most likely based on a variant of cal 38.5. This calibre was first introduced in 1933, and variants of it were still in use until the mid 1960'...
