Hi,
We are fortunate to have the following computer generated images of Peter Speake-Marin's latest offering, The Oxford. Unfortunately, I do not have a picture of The Oxford (the prototype), which was shown at Basel, but Peter will be providing us with pictures in due time.
The following text is Peter's description of The Oxford:
"These virtual images show a project that I started based on the concept of an unsigned watch made in the 1950's with jump hour and pivoted lugs, later Grimoldi also made a limited version of the same idea. This is my own interpretation of that watch redesigned in my own style. Where as with its predecessors the cases were cast and of low quality and not water resistant this version is larger and far more robust in its construction. It will also be made using cnc machinery to assure precision and function being that the case itself is a moving mechanical assembly. The images are not definitive and and the watch will continue to develop over the next year. I will use the same automatic that I developed for The Piccadilly and the jump hour is of my own design and construction. I exhibited at Basel a prototype of this watch which was well received and has provided me with the motivation to continue this project in parallel to The Piccadilly. These are also my first virtual images that I have drawn myself so please appreciate the spirit of the watch will remain the same although the final watch will have subtle differences to what is shown."

Wonderful work Peter. Thanks!
Cheers,
Curtis
