Seiko LordMatic ref. 5606-7000

I have been enjoying this nice design from the 70’s. It has the typical design traits from Seiko: straight and circular lines nicely combined.

The first time I put it on my wrist, it had a thick strap and It didn’t feel right, so, I tested several straps until I found one that make the watch feel like if it was made to embrace the wrist. Now I wear it for the office and I think it look elegant but discreet at the same time. It feels very “organic” (sorry, but I can’t find a better description). I mean, it feels like a gadget from a 70’s sci-fi movie made to wrap around your wrist, like a metallic barnacle that gives you the time.

I love the combination of brushed surfaces and polished edges, as well as the kanji day wheel and the black detail in the hands and indexes.

Overall I feel very happy with it.
