Seiko SCVL002 aka 6810-8000 or the large 33mm watch ⚖️🇯🇵
While some of my Seiko’s stretch to 51mm (like the Izul: www.watchprosite.com ), I often like them at the other end of the size spectrum. While the SCVL002 is not my smallest Seiko, it is amongst the more elegant / classically sized ones at 33mm and under 6mm thinness.
This is also the last non-Credor Seiko to sport the Cal. 68xx ultra thin movement. It’s a 1,98mm 21,600 vph hand wound affair (mostly used in the 1970s and revived in the 1990s) and in typically quirky Seiko fashion a shaped movement in a round watch.
Coming on the heels of the U.T.D., together with the SCVL001 (without the Roman numerals) it really demonstrates that proportions and design do much more than the mere size. From pictures one could hardly guess it’s 33mm and it’s a super pleasant wear. Plus easily slips under any cuffs and is one of the stealthiest watches imaginable. I know Cazalea has a Credor cousin in platinum.
Any other Seiko’s on wrists these days?
