We can start with the pivotal front wheel drive car in the USA, the Olds Toronado. Beginning in 1966, a Turbo Hydramatic Transaxle passed power from a 425 or 455 cubic inch V8 to the front wheels, unlike virtually every other vehicle made in the US since the Cord.
Enormous finned drum brakes! This car is pristine, inside and out.

Flow-through ventilation came out below the rear window, along with cigar smoke -- it had an ashtray the size of Luxembourg

Flip up headlights and auxiliary turning lights in the front wings (fenders)
I apologize for the blurry shot - this guy in the old Suburban was moving and we never got a solid shot at his car

We chased him halfway through the part and finally caught up. It was the courtesy shuttle from a Chevy dealership in town. Nice patina on the paint and signage. Stance and wheels definitely NOT stock.

A survivor Lincoln Mark IV, I believe, although not a very nice one.
