Spotted: Siesta in the Sunshine
Hello again, vintage vehicle lovers. Today we have no special agenda. We left our neighborhood and went south, all the way to the border, and slowly cruised along in areas we had never seen before.
We see this nice Ford daily, but never thought to take a photo. Looking through the windshield I see a "Club" steering wheel lock. You'd be amazed how many old cars sport these security measures.
In case you can't read it, this rear window sticker says I went, I served, I ride with USA Pride. Harley Davidson.
The license plate frame says Drive A Datsun, THEN DECIDE
This nice Scout is available, but on a main street and obscured by excessive plant life
Somehow I missed getting a second angle on this nice Chevy with just a mild aroma of customizing - perhaps we got distracted by that big truck in the background
Sometimes they just tower over everything in the street

Nice 50's Oldsmobile 88 - This IS your (grand) father's Oldsmobile. A '60 Olds 88 was the first car I ever owned
Just across the street, and rounding the corner, we found this Land Rover Discovery special edition

. . . 'dilapidated and rusty'? Lotta rust buckets this time. Props to the '68 Firebird, of which the very first two made . . . . . . were discovered in - where else? - a barn, then promptly restored. Art
It was in San Ysidro; perhaps we can assume economic factors ...
at least these mostly seemed to be running and in use, rather than front yard ornamentation
