SS Tank MC vs Louis Cartier

Dear new friends

I am struggling with a choice between these two options. Here is a picture of the second one

I forgot to take a picture with the LC
Main considerations I'm making on LC:
+ a classic, refined watch. Maybe the quintessential Tank
+ slim, discrete, to the point
- you don't get to see the movement
- manual without power reserve indicator (minor point)
- I dress formally sporadically and the watch is dressier in my view
- price vs the SS version of MC

On the MC:
+ automatic
+ maybe more versatile for casual dress
+ price
+ can see the movement
- am I missing on buying the true classic? Am I buying something that does not carry the heritage?

Additional points

SS is way cheaper and I have a hard time paying more for a watch that from a horological standpoint is identical to the other with the exception of the case material so Gold version of MC has a major drawback

Is the MC the best contemporary representative of the Tank?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I am new to this community

I would choose the LC, because i dont like the date window in the MC. For me, the tank musnt have a date. Also, I like the more rectangular shape better and the slimmer profile. André
