I really like this Saxonia Annual Calendar. It is a very balanced watch. The three subdials have the same size, the case diameter is perfect for the size of the caliber and the big date enhances the main feature of the complication: we only need to change the date the 1st of March so once a year.
The Annual Calendar complication makes its big premiere in the Lange collection with this Saxonia and for me, it is a good surprise: thanks to its layout, the dial is simple and the functions very readable. The Moonphase indicator seems to "breathe" and a friend told me during the SIHH, that this Saxonia is maybe a perfect "business watch".
I discussed about this Saxonia with other friends and some don't share my enthusiasm: maybe it is a good thing for the dial layout to have less functions, yes the dial is clean but at the end, they argued me that the watch seems to be a "downgraded" or a "light" Langematik Perpetual. Of course, each of us has his own point of view but I was far to understand them.
Thanks to its Sax-O-Mat caliber, its perfect size, its readability, I really think that the Saxonia is a very good option in the world of watches with "useful complications". These are my feelings about it.
What are yours ? Do you really think that is it better to forget it and to "jump" to the Langematik Perpetual or is it worth being considered as a very valuable Lange (with everything that lay behind in terms of finishings and quality) with an interesting complication ?
Thanks for your points of view !
