Well I got my very first JLC

Hello all

Well I got my Master Compressor Geographic.  The watch is great but geez, the actual watch purchase was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. 

Have you ever opened up a watch box and found the wrong watch in it?  I have!  My JLC turned into a H.Moser & Cie white gold piece much to my horror.  Turns out the seller mixed up two different boxes.. sent my JLC to Rome and the Roman Moser to Australia.

So the mix up got sorted out and then my JLC finally arrived.  Only for me to find my 'near mint' JLC with a deep dent in the bezel and filthy!  Apparently tho, when buying a used watch its ok to  not fully describe the condition.. afterall I am buying a used watch! The seller then told several lies/contradictions and it was all rather infuriating. 

I did have the option of sending it back for a refund but chose to keep the watch. After all that happened I didn't fully trust him not to blame me for damage and then not fully refund me.

So  I'll be getting it cleaned up, get the bezel polished lightly and a new strap.  Other than all this, WOW the movement is spectacular, it's super comfy and really is a lovely lovely watch!

Hopefully the poor buying experience wont impact how I feel about the watch - time will tell.
