Horological Meandering

Your HoMe

Hi All

The HoMe Forum officially came into existence on Dec 22, 2006 following a naming competition. Horological Meandering (HoMe) was coined by MarkS , but there were many great suggestions: MainSpring, AboutTime, The Watch Pub, The Chronologium and WATCHing, to mention a few.

Meandering derives from the Latin , meaning “circuitous windings”, and the Greek , referring to the winding Maeander River in Turkey. While some might take it to mean moving aimlessly, I prefer to think of it as taking a more interesting journey. It is by doing this that we can come to a deeper understanding of the topics under consideration.

Officially this is the forum where we discuss general horology, watches that do not have dedicated brand forums, clocks, and anything related to the world of watchmaking. But as this is your home, I am interested to hear your suggestions as to how we can make HoMe even more interesting and fun. What would you like to see here? What topics should we discuss? Although we may not be able to achieve it all, any thoughts are welcome.

I want this general forum to be your HoMe away from home.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

Regards,

Andrew
