with the idea of more technical/educational posts. For those of us not in the industry, or new to the interest/obsession, this is a great place to learn from a large number of knowledgeable people. I would also like to see more general questions about any... 

And it is going to be even better with you at the helm. One thought -- maybe consider a guest column weekly or monthly and invite industry leaders and/or watchmakers to submit for it. (And apologies if someone else has already suggested this -- I haven't ...

Andrew, how long did you lurk before registering to the forum and that making first post? I met Dr. No socially and was alerted to this site. Looked like a place to explore, so easy to register and get my feet wet. I posted immediately.

You describe my sentiments exactly: such a knowledgeable bunch with such amazing collections. Being new to horology and new to this forum I can mostly only lurk and learn, but will try occasionally to ask an intelligent question and hopefully some of you ... 

Thanks for the response. You know that old saying about the only stupid questions are those not asked, well I think you will be pleasantly surprised if you ask away here. In my experience, Purists will discuss anything about watches ad infinitum! Just win...
