it was fun to write - the only bad thing was realizing how badly I want one ;-)

i was also impressed by the thinness of the timepiece with all what the movement is entangled with - wow ! not but not the least, ppl always say Mr Journe is difficult to discuss but i think he address the 'crown position' which was always a difficulty me... 

He has really made true improvements on the watch while staying true true to the original concept. I think we both agree on the symmetry of the 12H dials. best Christian

A nice little trick by adding the 60 min scale. In fact, unlike the 2019 where the eye immediately sees the imbalance (difference between 24hr and 12hr), here I did not immediately notice that the subdials were different. Like Christian I still don’t unde... 

Someone posted separately a listing from Sotheby’s auctioning a “dual time “ Resonance from 2002. A complete misunderstanding of the watch in its original conception. Now however...

I think this is a genuine improvement. That movement is just incredible. I hope you have watched the video with both the Remontoirs runningWhoa!! Suddenly my Resonance looks so boring in comparison. A lot going on BUT also very clear and pure in a sense! ...

Brass was 4/10ths of a mm, now 6 to 7/10ths of a mm (someone needs to check this, but this is what I wrote when FP was talking). He also said that the greater distance between the two helped minimize what he called the “cushion air effect” which was occur...

And what a technical achievement. Congrats to FPJ. Although too big for my wrist, I appreciate the amount of technology in this watch from afar and I am sure there are many collectors anxiously awaiting seeing this watch on their wrist!

28hr is easily over 24hr, so no real problem.

I expect that the 28hr is in reality longer, and this was just the “safe” number to quote. But for a manual wind getting full effect (constant force) for a full day should be sufficient.

A minor point, but I prefer the character of the old and how it fits with the other writing on the dial. Thanks for the write-up.

I like it more than the red splash on the Optimum which is a mix between the two. I am a bit of a purist. I think I would have preferred the original without adding color. The rest is more like tones except the blue hands. The french have a passion for "a... 

THIS is what all watchmakers should be doing, creating art mixed with engineering in very small spaces. Anybody can build a fat watch. Still not a fan of the 24-hour dial...other than that this is very nice.

Overall I like the new dial better (not decided on the 24 hr subdial yet), as well as the movement aesthetics. I'm just not sure about the increase of height to 11mm. As with so many pieces, I'll have to see it in the flesh, but this has a serious potenti... 

yes, this is grail potential. I think im also beginning to like this new dial better. The movement. I have no doubt it is better. About the 11 mm dont worry. It is like the Centigraphe and by no means thick. However, as you say we need to see it, wear it ... 

I really like thin and ultrathin watches. Thickness always has a big impact on my desire for a watch. That's why I'm a bit worried. 11mm could still be ok, though. In general everything above 11mm is only acceptable for sporty watches with me. I'll probab... 

It will be interesting to see where this will sit in the field. Quite high I suspect, as it is free of the quirks and the double remontoirs are quite impressive. Let’s see how ot goes😊👍

I always thought the Resonance was a cool watch, but that crown at 12 o'clock was too difficult to wind. I'm glad to see this new Resonance and am looking forward to trying it out in person.

With the Resonance, I believe the watch has evolved and been perfected over time and I feel FPJ have finally got it right with this latest model. Hope to finally meet you next April in Geneva!

Initial impression is the watch looks good, and it’s differentiated enough from the prior models to stand out on its own. I don’t get the inclusion of the 24hr dial. But as Mike noted above at least this time the balance of the dials seems to less affecte... 

It was a lot of fun to write but the more I got in to it the more I feel I NEED one. No bs! I am really falling for this watch. I completely agree on all your comments! I was a little surprised to see a 24h/12h dial - and perhaps just a tad disappointed. ...

Is the version of the watch used on the marketing photos released today 40 or 42mm?

I did see a live picture of the Pink 42 mm. the bezel is definalty too wide.
